女子テニスの元世界ランク１位のジュスティーヌ・エナン（ベルギー、２７）が２２日、現役復帰を宣言しました。４大大会７度の優勝を誇るエナンは、２２日に地元テレビの取材で「わたしの人生の中で、素晴らしい選択で大きな決断。過去１５カ月間、肉体的にも、精神的にも、感情的にも再充電できた」とコメントを発表大きな話題を呼びました。また、同じベルギー出身のキム・クライシュテルスが、現役復帰直後に全米オープンで優勝したことも大きな刺激になったと話しました。テニスへの情熱を失ったとして２００８年５月に２５歳の若さで現役を退いたエナン選手。１１月と１２月にドバイやベルギーでのエキシビション大会で試運転を行い、来季から本格的な復帰を目指すそうです。また、新たな活躍が楽しみです。
